This year has flown by. I know I say that every year, but truly, this year went by extremely fast. I was in Bourne Village one early morning and loved how this shadow looked.
The 26th was another nice day...comfortable enough to wear shorts and take a long walk around town.
Such pretty mums!
We may not have the impressive foliage of northern New England, but it's still wicked pretty.
Betty Ann's ice cream closed for the season.
I almost stepped on this bugger! I think it's a praying mantis. It was scurrying across the sidewalk. I'm glad I noticed it!
Funky old car. It was loud too.
Oak leaves
Burning bush in my back yard.
Not many leaves left where I live now; and what there are appear to gravitate towards the lawn at the bottom of my garden!
ReplyDeleteOurs are starting to fall like crazy now too. I wish the foliage lasted a little longer!
DeleteYes that was a praying mantis. We noticed today on the way to bowling, some trees are still in full leaf although the leaves are golden or a few are bronze and yet there are a lot of trees with no leaves left at all. I agree, this year has gone by super fast.
ReplyDeleteI was glad that I saw him because my foot almost crushed him!
DeleteBeautiful pictures. The leaves are still coming down here but are a lot closer to being down now. I may have to dust off the leaf blower this weekend and see if I can clean some up into piles. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks! The oaks in my yard are turning deep red and the burning bushes are just stunning everywhere.
DeleteWatching Judge Judy (...) I sometimes wonder if there are any rules governing the safety and loudness of cars. Not to mention so many of her clients seem to have done quite a bit of drunk driving, which is almost gone now from the UK thanks first to strict laws and enforcement, then to changes in public opinion. That loud car would have to get its exhaust fixed!
ReplyDeleteWell there is a difference between loud exhaust which is illegal, and loud engines, which are fine. Take the Harley Davidson for example.
DeleteI love the colors of Fall. I wish there are more color-changing trees around where I live. Everything is still green or brown. Extremes.
ReplyDeleteSonnia
As I recall the foliage in Marin County peaked close to Christmas!
