This school was used in Hocus Pocus too, with a different name.
Salem Witch Museum
Very cute trash cans.
More skulls!
So many people were dressed up! We saw a Frankenstein that was elaborately done, Chewbacca, this Minion and a whole host of others. And just regular people showed up in cosplay as well. By this time of the day, 2 pm, the city was gridlocked with traffic and it was a mob scene.
This is the Ropes Mansion and it was used as Allison's house in Hocus Pocus.
A wee, narrow green house.
Another witch type musum
Didn't get a cone, but I thought the name was cute.
And my last pic of the day, this cute little bird playing a musical instrument.
I hope you all enjoyed this Halloween tour of Witch City!
Not sure what all the skulls have to do with witches, but enjoyed your picture tour. Only thing, it occurs to me that all those witch trials were a tragedy for the poor witches.
ReplyDeleteWell it's the whole Halloween genre, and spooky stuff. Plus November 1st is the Day of the Dead. I have a lot of friends into skulls too.
DeleteLooks like you had a blast JoJo! Nice pictures...
ReplyDeleteYes Joe we did! Thank you so much!!
DeleteI always enjoy your local tours, JoJo, and would love to tour the witches museums.
ReplyDeleteI think my fave costume was when five women at work dressed as a witches coven one year with witch hair and rubber ugly masks (there was a contest) I admit, I liked cackling like a witch. . .unfortunately didn't know any spells.
Thank you!! One of these days I will have to take the tours but it eats into my walking and photography.
DeleteI'm envious. We have nothing like any of this around here. You live a fun life, and I appreciate you sharing your outings.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween-time, my friend.
Thanks Robyn! But you have all of California at your doorstep. The Sierras, Yosemite, the Bay Area, Mammoth, etc etc.
DeleteSounds that you have had a great time. Your collection of pictures looks beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThank you ! We did have a great time. Nothing like a day trip!
DeleteIt looks like an amazing place to explore. They sure have capitalized on the whole witch theme!
ReplyDeleteYeah it's sad in a way but it is part of Massachusetts history so might as well get some tourism cash infused into an otherwise run down area.
