This person went all out to decorate their little courtyard off the street!
Russell may hate skulls, but I don't like the whole evil clown thing.
Headed back to the downtown core.
Nathaniel Hawthorne.
These legs flopped around and stuff. It was pretty funny.
These cool stick sculptures were made by Patrick Dougherty. I saw an exhibit of his in Tacoma many years ago. It takes weeks of painstaking work by volunteers to assemble them.
Salem Common
Delightful pictures as usual JoJo. I think I am the same about evil clowns. That one house certainly goes all out with their decorations. Love the harbour picture though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! Sheila and I saw all these people hanging over the fence and gate so of course we had to go see what they were looking at. We were pretty surprised to see how elaborate it was.
Deletewow they really go all out everywhere in town! When we lived in SF we lived on a block where absolutely everyone would deck out for holidays (we were 'that block' people wanted to walk for Christmas lights). I always felt such pressure to keep up!
ReplyDeleteYou were lucky to live on that block in SF. Because where I lived in the Richmond District, there were next to no decorations and lights. Some of the restaurants and shops had stuff up, but my neighbourhood was 90% Russian Jewish & Chinese, so you didn't see much at all. I worked downtown so it was cool to check out the Macy's windows and Union Square though.
Deletelove,love,love the halloween decor.phyllis
ReplyDeleteIsn't it the bomb diggety? Totally exceeded my expectations!
DeleteLooks like a great place to visit! They really get into Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThey really do. Of course I found out there's a Halloweentown in St. Helens, Oregon. Figures I move back here and find that out now.
