Christmas Lights Bokeh 2014

Following the tutorial found HERE, I attempted to do another bunch of bokeh pics with the lights.  My smallest paper punch is a heart shape, so I used that.  I also tried a star punch but it didn't look like anything much.  The heart kind of looks like moths!!

I accidentally left the flash on for this picture which came out looking pretty cool and kind of dreamy.

Kitchen window without the flash.

Some of the lights look like pizza slices.  Love how the star came out.

This is actually one of my fave pictures that I've shot of Christmas lights.

    1. Thanks! Last night I was experimenting with slow shutter speed, and unfocused zooming. The results were pretty cool.

  4. Very pretty :) I hate that I can't get a good photo of the tree and lights - can have one or the other LOL! And Pinterest, useful, but I try and avoid it cos I know I'll be sucked in ;) xx

    1. Thanks Suzanne! I've tried hard not to get too sucked into Pinterest...I check a couple times a day but just for a quick scroll. I dug out my tripod last night. I should use that more often.

    1. We actually have a semi-infestation of winter moths, outside, each year in Nov. and Dec., despite the freezing temps. Just as long as I don't have THIS many in my house. lol

  6. Beautiful pictures, and you should make cards from them. Too pretty not to reuse again and again.

  7. Hi human, JoJo,

Wow and arf, those lights look like hearts. The humans over here call them fairy lights. Fancy that. Nicely done, my photographer type human friend.
