More Lazy Hazies

More pretties during my walks in July.

This was taken from the floating dock in the above picture.  That's why it looks like I'm in or on the water!

Cormorant

I know I've featured this picture before but I just love the fact that where I moved from and to are featured on one street sign pole.

Russell got a tomato plant for our deck a few weeks ago and has entrusted it to my care while he's on the road.  Somehow I've managed to keep it alive.  These are the first fruits harvested from it.  I'm not a huge fan of tomatoes but these are very tasty.

  1. Lovely pix as usual. Home grown tomatoes can often taste so much better than the ones you get in the stores.

Did you see the cloud in my post today?

    1. Yes I saw it! Pretty dramatic....I'd be afraid a tornado would drop from the center of it.

  2. Home grown tomatoes are so nice, just touching the stems releases that lovely smell. I haven't grown any for years. In the dampness here, blight likes to eat the tomatoes first. I used to put mine in the window they looked so colorful there (to ripen of course). Great pics as always, JoJo!

    1. Thanks! I don't even really like them.....that's why I agreed to one plant vs. more. I don't know what to do with them.

Your photos are brightening up a dark, rainy Friday here. And the problem with growing tomatoes (we do to) is there's no 'off' switch. They all seem to ripen at once. I'm an '8 a day' gal (at least!) when they're in full flow (about now)

    1. Ours are starting to come in fast and furious too. There are quite a few on the plant and turning red. I need to figure out how to make some recipes with them.

  4. Lovely photos! My favorite is the 2nd one, the yellow one shot from behind. Interesting perspective! Sent your way by Robyn at Life by Chocolate, and gladly followed. :)

    1. Thank you so much for visiting and following my humble blog! The yellow flower in that pic is a black eyed Susan in my yard that I shot from underneath. :D

  5. Your photos always make me smile :) And your tom's are a bit ahead of ours, but if the amount of flowers are anything to go by we'll be eating tom's till Christmas LOL! xx

    1. Thanks Suzanne! :) One of my friends bought 31 tomato plants and doesn't have a single fruit on any of them! Yet anyway.

    1. Thanks Sonnia! I've been trying to capture bees on flowers this year. I haven't had much luck with dragonflies this summer as there haven't been very many.

    1. Thanks Tracy. I just wish I could find a market to sell them. I have so much competition here.
