I love all things celestial. When I saw this pillow on Pinterest, original link HERE, I decided I had to make my own, but a smaller version.
I traced the crescent onto the fabric, placed it into a large hoop and did all the button work. I wish I had come farther out with the nose, and working on top of it looked like it was fine, but seeing it now it's a little short.
Embroidered the hanger with gold floss and added a gold button. I have a sewing machine but I don't know how to use it, so I had to hand sew the back and front, then stuff it and sew it shut. Not perfect but not bad for a first try.
It looks great! The nose looks fine to me, but if you're not happy, you can add on extra buttons.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried Utube for a tutorial on how to use your machine?
I think it looks amazing!!

Wonderful job! It looks great (even the nose).
ReplyDeleteDo you have the link from the original pin on Pinterest? To be counted as an official entry in the contest, there needs to be a link to the original site/pin.
Looks good. Is it designed to lean back on though? I foresee buttons digging in the back!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I do envy your talent!
ReplyDeleteYour pillow looks great, and I love the color!

ReplyDeleteOh, the moon is my passion. And this one is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you can do like four kinds of season. I can see sun for summer. Something floral for spring. Snowflakes for winter. Hmm... fall... orange colors...
