King Richard's Faire in Carver opened over Labor Day weekend, and runs on the weekends, through mid-October. We went on the 3rd weekend. Once again, I had to sign a waiver saying I wouldn't profit from my photos. *rolls eyes* Some of the vendors are also really, really snotty about having pics take of their wares, so I had to sneak a ton of shots.
Loved this old circle on the ground.
Despite the weather forecast of only 30% chance of rain, it poured for the first 20 minutes or so when we first arrived. But that didn't deter my sweetie from trying his hand at a few games like the dart throw....
...and axe toss.
Four out of four, perfectly grouped! I was impressed!!
The obligatory 'Man and His Turkey Leg: It's a Beautiful Thing" picture.
The weather finally started to clear up and we drifted around, people watching and window shopping.
Awwww poor baby!!!!
Didn't know he was a leftie. Like Vincent...
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have much more of this period fayre type of thing than we do. Or maybe I just don't hear about the "native" stuff.
Looks like it was a marvelous faire and a whole lot of fun. Enjoyed all of the photos.
ReplyDeleteYes Val, he's a leftie. :D It really is a fun afternoon but a very, very expensive afternoon too. The food concessions are outrageous. Oh, and he forgot to bring his drivers license and they ID EVERYONE buying beer. So I got the wrist bracelet and the beer, then we hid and I carefully pealed the bracelet off my wrist and put it on his. lmao
ReplyDeleteLooking on the 'up' side, obviously neither of you look old enough to buy beer!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool!! You got some really great pictures.

How much fun is that? You guys look like you had a riot and, wow, those costumes. A thing of beauty.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're not making a profit on your photos. *shaking my head along with you*
Amazing! I want to go there.
