A Late Afternoon Stroll

My sweetie and I took a nice walk along the Canal one gorgeous afternoon in September.

Not sure what these are but they are pretty.  Couldn't tell if they had a fragrance.

King Richard's Faire, Part 2

He tried his hand at the knife throw.

In his happy place with a giant turkey leg and a Pepsi

The painted designs on these velvet cloaks are amazing.

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Let the Faire Begin!

The squeeze and I picked a glorious Sunday in September to visit the King Richard's Faire renaissance festival, in Carver, MA. 2011 is the 30th year.  I'd never been to this ren fest before, even when I lived here in the 80's.  It was a ton of fun!!!  Here is Part 1:

We got there right after they opened at about 10:45 a.m. so it wasn't yet crowded and we were able to walk around leisurely and see everything.

He willingly posed in the stocks, but wouldn't surrender his beer.  Note the ultra close scalping haircut. That would be my handiwork.  In my defense, I told him I'd never cut hair before....fortunately it's growing back quickly.

I was so far away in the back of the tiger show that this was the only decent photo that I shot.  It's a very popular show and was crowded.  We were standing all the way in the back. I was thinking about Val and how much she would have enjoyed it.

We caught the end of this show and these guys were very, very funny and great jugglers.

Stay tuned for Part 2.
