Plymouth at Christmas

Another fave place to visit in December is Plymouth.  Most of the gift shops are closed down for the winter but the lobster trap tree down at the docks is always worth checking out.

Lobster trap rocking chairs whaaat?

Then I drove up and parked on Court Street and walked around.  I was bummed to see a lot of my fave stores are totally gone and windows papered up.  I did get to hit up a couple of my fave antique collectives though.

A little creepy no?

Definitely creepy.

The town tree.

I am a total sucker for vintage ornaments, esp. Shiny Brites.

So many ornies, but no monies.

GAH!  I want this!

This too.  It's a beautiful stained glass chess set.

I left with a few bits & bobs, but not near as much as I would love to have purchased!

Plymouth at Christmas

Now that the summer's over and the tourists are gone, it's much easier to find free parking in Plymouth, even if a lot of the stores are closed for the season.

This is lit at night but I don't think I'll be going up there to see it in the dark.  It's cool though.  I hear Provincetown does a lobster trap tree too.

Then I drove up to Court Street to take pics of the Christmas windows.

This store sells imported food and stuff from England.  It's been in Plymouth forever...as long as I can remember.  I stopped in and got some Flake Bars.

In the window of one of my fave stores, Laughing Moon boutique.

I could seriously buy everything in this shop.

Squeeeee!  I love orcas!

I was bummed this store was closed...the beaded items they sell are so cool.
