The day after our 70 degree warm up was about 30 degrees colder, but still beautifully clear. So it was off to Town Neck in Sandwich to take a few pics, but no beachcombing due to too many rocks and high tide.

VERY high tide this morning.
Town Neck is still really ravaged from erosion. The beach grass that was planted last year is still working out so far, but it continues to have the sand swept off during storms. And then deposited in the Canal and on Scusset Beach.
This is about as far as I dared to walk on Boardwalk because I don't like the water being that close. While I have crossed this hundreds of times in my life, I'm still afraid I'll fall off or get pushed off. I never have, but it still scares me a little to go out over open water like that on a narrow bridge with no handrails and people walking towards me.
Normally you can still see the marshes at high tide but today it was super high.
Then I drove over to the Marina. That white building is Fisherman's View Restaurant that just opened. The design is in keeping with the Coast Guard station that's also in the marina area. See that fishing boat? It was docked and unloading fresh fish and seafood to the restaurant. You cannot get fresher than that!!!
Very choppy in the Canal.
It's quite large with a killer view of the Canal and extremely popular, as I've heard the food is top notch. There is always a pretty long wait to get in! We haven't been because sadly, I can't eat anything on the menu except cornbread. I miss being able to eat shellfish! But my friends who have gone posted pics of their meals with rave reviews.
This is the new Harbormaster's Office. It's huge!
The town seal is three ships with eagle heads and the motto translates to "After so many shipwrecks, a haven".
