I was finally able to squeeze in a little bit of beach time and a spin around Sandwich taking some pictures. Unfortunately we don't have much foliage because it's been a very warm & humid fall. The trees are making the ol' college try but the leaves are either almost blown off or rapidly turning brown.
Still though, it was a nice day for some beachcombing. The water was calm too. Not much beach glass though. Only found 2 pieces total.
My first stop was Town Neck in Sandwich. Now that parking fee season is over, I can hit the beaches more often.
Tide was coming in.

It's been a few years since it's been repaired and is a bit cattywampus these days.
Then over to the other part of the beach to see what cairns are there now. Some jerks made it a point of knocking them down after I was there, but they always get rebuilt.
I was excited to find that rock! It's with the heart rock we found at Tobey Hospital in the livingroom.
Very interesting patterns in the sand in the 2nd picture! I would be a little worried about waling on that boardwalk, ha ha, up and down and up! How fortunate to find the painted rock!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot sturdier than it looks. lol But I'm sure it will be due for repairs soon.

ReplyDeleteThanks Debi! I actually do have mattes that I could use for my pictures but I don't know if I have the time (or money) to get them processed.
DeleteWhat a great word, cattywumpus!!! People are horrid aren't they, knocking down the cairns. Teens I assume. Lovely pix as usual JoJo.
ReplyDeleteYes I believe the person that saw the towers being knocked over indicated they were young.
