We finally had a spring-like day so I asked my friend Jen if she wanted to bop around Falmouth with me, playing tourist. I picked her up at her place in Hatchville at the farm her grandfather started in 1924. It's a beautiful slice of paradise too, lemme tell ya!
Adorable little goat named Chula.
I can't remember the name of the horse but what a beauty!
Chickens!
This is Russell's dream, right here.
A wee chicken house for one of the hens that didn't fit in well with the others.
The chicks are about 6 weeks old. So. Adorable.
I just want to cuddle one!!!
Crooked Pond
Really neat clouds too!
The horse's name is a Peggy. ❤
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes! I knew it began with a P but I just could not remember! She's soooo sweet, so is Chula.
DeleteAm very envious of her chickens, lovely biddies and such cute chicks!
ReplyDeleteShe has quite a variety of them. They are awesome. I love listening to them too.
DeleteNothing like a day at the farm. I guess. I've never been around farms much, but I've often fantasized about living the life of a farmer.

I don't think I could have a horse...I've never ridden one. And I'm not a farm girl at all, nor am I a gardener. But if Russell wanted chickens I'm not opposed to that.
DeleteThat was fun. Russell's dream is a loud one, but they can be hilarious to watch.
ReplyDeleteBe well, JoJo.
I'd like to try having a few chickens but I'd prefer not to have a rooster, but I don't know if you can get only female chickens or have to have the rooster too.
DeleteI love the names of places up your way. Such character and lovely too. Good pics. Fun at Crooked Pond!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne!
DeletePeggy, along with all the critters, is adorable!!! What a fun time. :) Glad you had some nice weather.
ReplyDeletehappy hump day!
Marie
Thank you! Back to a bit blustery and cold today though. It was perfect yesterday though for this outing!
DeleteNot into cuddling chickens, useful for eggs and roast chicken though. Liked the horse and the goat though. There is a safari park here and we used to go fairly often and there was one goat there who seemed to have a particular fascination with Matt.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely useful for eggs. Russell would have to take care of the butchering though...I'm way too squeamish.
DeleteWhen they sell baby chicks at feed stores (and whatnot) they should be hens. However, that isn't always the case, the occasional rooster does pop up. My mom has 4 chickens and she loves them dearly. Once Russell retires maybe chickens would become a more realistic option. The fresh eggs are great.
ReplyDeleteYes...I would love for him to have some chickens. They are cute and make the cutest little noises.
Deletebeautiful warm sun.. the chicks are so adorable..
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we went the other day cause it's 16 degrees today. Sunny, but ice cold.
DeleteLovely farm... And I can see how fresh and clean the air there is... thanks for sharing Jojo!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is! Thank you!
DeleteOh my gosh, this looks like so much fun! We have a small farm near us that lets people just walk around and pet the animals. The kids loved to go there when they little. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHer horse and goat are so sweet and friendly. They were like, 'oh HAI! Pet me!' So is her dog.
DeleteI love chickens. I wish people didn't eat them. I wish even more so many weren't treated so badly.
ReplyDeleteThey are cute that's for sure.
