Superbowl Sunday was kinda boring....well other than the fact that we were battening down the hatches, doing every errand one could think of and waiting for a week of heavy snow. So I was browsing my Pinterest boards looking for something quick and easy to knock together. I found the Nebula In A Jar project and since I had everything on hand, I went ahead and checked out the tutorial, found HERE.
Seemed pretty easy and only took a few minutes to do. I like how it came out....it's definitely pretty. However, it's just one more thing taking up room in the house! Sadly this will end up being thrown out and the jar reused. I just wanted to give it a try. Bummed that I wasted all that glitter and every cotton ball I had in the house.
My friends think it looks like cotton candy.
I think it's cool, JoJo. I've been thinking I should do some of the crafts I have in my craft drawers. My many, many craft drawers.
ReplyDeleteSigh.
Thanks Dawn! Sadly the cotton absorbed all the liquid by the end of the week and the colours all mixed together so I tossed it. As for doing old abandoned crafts, I highly recommend it. What a sense of accomplishment!
DeleteYour friends are right, it does a bit. Pretty though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo! It's already been scraped and the jar washed for reuse. lol
DeleteIt so does look like cotton candy! Would be cool to do Fourth of July colors and use for table decor with some spritzer sticks coming out of it. Well done dear friend!!
ReplyDeleteOooo that WOULD look great! You should totally do that!
Deleteit does look like cotton candy - my kids would have loved making that one
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice, quick craft that's for sure. Perfect for kids with cool results.
DeleteIt does look like cotton candy with sparkles - very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks...it is sparkly that's for sure! But sadly not a project that is destined to last. the cotton will keep soaking up the liquid.
