Fairy Houses at Highfield Hall, Pt 2

It was really hard to narrow down what pics to use!  Everything was just so adorable.

I wonder how they hold up with rain and wind.

Books made from matchboxes!!!!

A wee shoe shoppe.

This house was on the porch.  I left some money in it, which I hope is collected each day!

This was another one I loved!!!!!

This one was made from a mailbox

Looking inside.  Just magical!

Ship in a tree

This fairy house is being raffled and I entered.  Drawing is August 30.  I would love to win!

Inside Highfield Hall.  Not sure if this was one of the fairy houses but I liked it.

A swing made from a seed pod!!

Needless to say I am going to make a fairy scene of my own soon!!!!!

  1. Arent they the cutest ever! You can find neat things for fairy houses at Joann fabrics, hobby lobby and the Christmas Tree Shop. Perhaps you would be a great candidate for miniatures. Check out my other site: http://fortheloveofminis.blogspot.com/

    1. I didn't even think of the Tree. Did you know that store started here on Cape Cod? There's a giant one at the Sagamore Bridge. Thank you for your link, I'm going to check it out! There is also a website I've ordered from before called Tiny Things Are Cute. It's just I can't decide on what I want to do for a fairy house. Make it woodsy or beachy.

  2. Hi Jojo, I can see that it is not easy to put together this little fairy houses. I like the swing made from the seed pod.

    1. Isn't that clever? The seed pod? Thing is I used to do stuff like this when I was little. I always had such great ideas and imagination. Now I'm so bogged down with life that it's hard for me to bring those ideas forward again.

  3. I see your penchant for lighthouses is still working - your favourite house. How lovely these are.I especially liked the little ladders reaching up to different heights.

    1. I think the lighthouse and the 2 boats - this one in the tree and the one on the ground in the last post - were my faves, but the little fairy villages were also pretty neat. Those ladders are a nice touch aren't they?

    1. Oh I already have the vessel that will be used to house the scene....but I'm still trying to work out what I'm going to do inside it. I think I will have to go with a forest scene because that will be the easiest for the wooden container I'll be using.

    1. My parents' neighbour had a couple of little mouse houses that she made in the 60s or 70s. They were so cute!

  7. I get excited about this stuff too, and I love it all. Makes me want to paint matchboxes and create other miniature items like these. Thanks, JoJo.
    Keep a smile.

    1. Me too! I have a bunch of things in my altered art supplies that'd be great for fairy house stuff but like I said, my ideas are few and far between thanks to the stress of every day life.
