Steampunk Keys

More altered keys.  People really seem to love these.  I wasn't expecting the response to them, although it's greatly appreciated!!

That one on the far left is my fave and I just can't part with it.  It makes me think of college at St. Joe's but I'm not sure why.

I found that padlock in one of my old jewelry boxes and the keys work so I added stuff to it.

    1. Thanks Kathy!!!! They are fun to make, even though many of the pieces are practically microscopic. I really have a new appreciation for watch makers after seeing the teensy gears.

  2. You know how much I love mine! Hey people - she was kind enough to ship one across the country to me and it now hangs from my rear view mirror. Wish I could add a picture here, but I'm going to go to facebook and stick one on her timeline, so if you're fb friends with this amazingly talented woman, you can see just one of the fabulous uses for these.
These are fantastic. I'm totally in love with the padlock now...sigh.

  3. Been so busy, only just had a chance to catch up on blogs - loving the keys, what a fab idea! As for the snow, looks beautiful but I totally get how you're fed up with it, I'm beginning to think it's never going to stop raining over here! And the sentimental comment from your fella on facebook - perfect :)

    1. Hi Suzanne!!! Thanks!! Yes you all have been getting drowned over there!! I'd much rather have the rain than this infernal white stuff! lol There's a 70% chance of more snow on Wed.

    1. Yes, these are for sale....but I don't have an Etsy shop open at this time. I've been selling them on Facebook. Are you on FB? If so, my page is Tahoma Beadworks or you can send me a friend request (Joanne Mendonza). I've been posting them on my personal page.

  6. Hi JoJo,

I'm totally captivated by those incredibly creative key photos. I can understand why so many appreciate them.

Notice I didn't attempt any puns.
