I don't know who did the gardening in this yard before we moved in....could have been the landlord's mom or perhaps the landlord & his wife. Whoever it was did a fantastic job. As one flower is dying off, more are blooming. I have lots of yellow right now.
These, I assume, are some kind of black eyed susans as they are mixed in with the yellow ones.
This is one of my faves.
Dragonfly stayed still for awhile to let me shoot it's pic
Queen Anne's Lace is just starting.
The ice cream truck goes by every day. I never go out to get any though.
There was another super moon and these were the best pics I could get. The first is through the trees in the back yard.
Hi JoJo, finally catching up on blogs and posts! And I love your button caterpillars - so cute!

Dragonflies make good photo subjects, don't they?
ReplyDeleteLike your flower shots!
Beautiful pictures, as always
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. What an interesting flower with the yellow and red/orange streaks. Never have seen one like it, but wow!

Dragonflies are just so beautiful, so improbable.
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad the two ice cream vans that are owned by the guy up the street have their rounds elsewhere.
Beautiful pictures JoJo! Love the dragonfly!

What a delightful surprise for you to have beauty popping up regularly in your yard. And you didn't have to do any of the planting. The ice cream truck is another fun thing. I'd be out there flagging him down every day, I think!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
Thanks everyone!! I have thought about flagging down the truck but I feel like an idiot, being an adult and all. And it never fails to put 'turkey in the straw' in my head since it plays that song on a continuing loop! You can hear it several streets over.
ReplyDeleteWow, JoJo. You're amazingly skilled with the camera. I gawked at every photo. I especially like the second and third pics of flowers. I'm also impressed with the intricacies of the dragonfly's wings. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Sorry I've been remiss about visiting some of my favorite bloggers blogs, but have been so wrapped up in trying to figue out that new marketplace site, "Craftinest. It is not for the technologically challenged such as me. :D
ReplyDeleteYou must have a wonderful yard with beautiful gardens as the photos of all your lovely blossoms are perfection.
