For those of you sweltering in the hot weather
It's cold, cloudy and rainy up here and has been for over a week. The snow level has dropped to 2,500 feet and snow is expected in the passes after 6:00 p.m. tonite.
I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!!
The longer it stays cold and rainy, the shorter we have to deal w/ the hot summer weather and neverending daylight.
Yeah, it's hot, but this too will pass. My kindies could not understand why I did not want any hugs today. Normally I am all for them. Something baout 19 grimy sweaty kids wrapping themselves around me that didn't appeal to me today. I bought freezer pops but a wonderful set of parents brought in Ben and Jerry's for everyone. Freezer pops tomorrow.
It was 103 earlier today,it is a cool 96 right now.I think I could cook on the cars outside.Tomorrow will be 100,this is before they factor in humidity, which usually ups the "feeling" of the outdoors by at least 3 more degrees.
Unfortuntely, I cannot share your enthusiasm for this weather. If I dont get some sort of a garden this year, I'm leaving town. Okay, not really, but southern Oregon's looking pretty darn good about now.
I'm burned and burning. I have to be outside for about 7 hours a day because of the new job, and I kinda want to kill the sun when they say it's time to run around or hike.
I bought two new sunblocks that are SPF 50 and 80. I've also downed a 32oz Vitamin Water each day (VitWat is more bearable to drink in copious amts than plain water).
Ooh, and the Opera House is sweltering in the heat.

It's been stifling here, to, and I hate it. Don't love rain or snow either, though.
ReplyDeleteman...thats no fair. this weather has been kicking my arse! especially when i go to work, that uniform makes it miserable outside.
ReplyDeleteAll we seem to have is rain, tornadoes and hail....I'm SO tired of it.

ReplyDeleteWe've had 2 fairly nice days, and 1 very hot one in my part of the UK. This probably constitutes summer.
