Happy Anniversary to Me!

I have now officially worked at this job the longest I've ever worked for anyone, in my life. My previous record was when I worked for Burnstein & Trimbur in San Francisco/Berkeley. I started there 9/4/90 and left 10/26/96. I started working for Steve 3/6/01.

We still haven't gotten an attorney in to take over since Robyn left last fall. So far we have plenty of business and clients to keep us extremely busy, so fingers crossed that we can keep on going. Although it would be nice if we could get another attorney in because Steve is pretty overwhelmed.

This is where I work in Fircrest, "College Park Professional Center". My office is upstairs, although since Robyn left, we aren't "Fisher & Lindsay" anymore. Steve said he's not paying for another carved sign so it's staying up, but I did finally scrape Robyn's name off the front door.
Here's my boss, Steve and his wife Mary. I shot this at a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game last spring. Steve's a hoot and we have a great time at work, usually laughing hysterically about something!

  2. hey, congrats! personally, i didn't "work" anywhere more that 2 years so far, but i'm still a student, so i guess it's normal ;) but i'm usually not the biggest friend of working somewhere for the rest of your life anyway.
but your workplace looks really nice! and your boss looks like he's a lot of fun. what more can you wish for? :D

  3. Congratulations! I made nearly 8 years in one place, and it was too long, but you seem happy in your job, so I guess for you it would be a plus.

Your boss looks very good-natured, but please tell him his tongue does not have the D'Onofrio factor!

  4. Happy Anniversary indeed!
Like Tamara said, I don't think I could think of working in a place for the rest of my life, I get bored pretty fast of doing the same thing over and over again. I need new stuff all the time :-D

Happy Anniversary, JoJo. Great post. I laughed at you scraping the name off the door. Steve looks like a lot of fun. No wonder you are so loyal.

  6. It's definitely a fun place to work. Steve's really good to us. He has such a hearty Santa-like laugh too.

I love my job and the work that I do, even if it is high stress/pressure. But I also like the security of being in a long term position at the same place. If you think I've worked for him for a long time, my coworker Debby has worked for him since 1977!!

Amazing how some tongues got 'it' and some don't ;0)
Your boss is up against stiff competition from Vincent....and my mind just wandered off. What was the question again???!!!

    Happy Anniversary to you anyway.

  9. Happy Anniversary... your offices look lovely; I won't show you where I work. Unless I go home lunchtime or shopping by car I will not walk where I work.

Your boss looks like a fun guy.

I've done three years here. I was over ten years in my previous place. I think it's time for me to move on... wish I could afford to retire ::sigh::
