Here is a photo of local legend, Sasquatch, taken from the famous Patterson/Gimlin film of 1967 at Bluff Creek, California.
My hubby and I are big fans of the Bigfoot phenomena, and we used to go on "Bigfoot Expiditions" to Willow Creek and Bluff Creek in CA. Never saw him though....as if we expected him to have a lemonade stand on the side of the road with a sign, "Have your picture taken with me for $10".
There have been numerous sightings here in the Pacific Northwest as well. The woods are so thick both here, in Oregon and Northern California that I do believe a species currently unidentified could live undetected in the forests. After all, the coelacanth was thought to be extinct as well.
We own some property on the remote Olympic Peninsula, near Lake Quinault. The following are photos we took of extremely large boulders placed on tree stumps in a patch of clear cut along side Highway 101. Upon close examination, there is absolutely no evidence of human intervention - no scrapes from chains, no evidence of heavy equipment, etc. We have seen information that opines that Sasquatch may mark their territory by placing large boulders on tree stumps. We couldn't budge them at all.
Here's a picture of my hubby for scale purposes. How in the world did the boulders get on these stumps????
Wow, either hubby has changed since that X-mas card photo or I'm not used to seeing him without some form of tye-dye...
