I have decided to change the header name of this blog to 'Tahoma Beadworks and Photography', because, for the most part, it's been more about photography and less about beading these days. The URL remains the same.
I shot this at my mom's house of a heart shaped wrought iron planter and its shadow on the barn, for one of the Project 365 entries.
I took the Bean for a long walk on January 2 around our part of BBay. This car has seen better days.
So has this boat. Anyone else think "S.S. Minnow/Gilligan's Island"? I sure did. And about as seaworthy as the Minnow too.
It was a toss up whether to use this one for Project 365....
...or this one, which is what I ended up using.
What a difference a day makes! Temps began to fall on January 2, after our gorgeous New Years Day, and has turned icy cold. It was as cold and windy as this picture looks.
You always take wonderful photos of your little adventures. I wish I can do that (meaning, have little adventures around my neighborhood), but I have always wanted to get a DSLR camera for better shots. So, for the meantime, I'm just using a regular digicam. Sometimes, my phone's camera. All I need is TIME to walk around or travel. Yikes.

I especially love the first one. You can barely tell the difference between the iron heart and the shadow.

ReplyDeleteJojo, you commented on my blog about having Photoshop, but you don't need it. You could always start out with GIMP, which is a free open source programme that's almost as good. Just google for it.

I own a SLR and the major thing is knowing some basics about photography (arperture, shutter speed etc.) because while SLR's make nice pics in auto mode, some (good) digicams make better ones... however, no auto mode can replace the photographers knowledge and eye, as limited as it may or may not be.
I love the first picture too - and the new name :0)
