Jungle Jim's International Market

Jungle Jim's was another must-do on this trip.  I actually ended up going twice!  First time, was a family trip with all the kids.

 This is my fave cheese and it's virtually impossible to get at home.  I bought 2.

If I didn't have so many food allergies, I could buy some of the baked goods.

I can never have a macaron due to the almond ingredient.  Kills me.  These looked amazing.

I really wanted to get more of the funky pops here.

I wish now I had stocked up on these.  It's delicious!  I only got one.

Got a Faygo Vanilla Creme which was also delicious.

As was the Rte 66 cream soda that I got.  Not a root beer fan.

 This was under construction the last time we were here in May.  Was glad to see it up and running!

We were hungry by the time we got home and Val couldn't keep her eyes open so she opted to nap and we took everyone else to Olive Garden.  Mark and Dale stare into far off wonderment.  lol 

I'm back

Hi all!  Sorry for not visiting anyone's blogs the past two weeks but we were out of town visiting our grandbabies!  I will be catching up with stuff because I had a 'Pennsylvania Bucket List' and we managed to hit all of it which was awesome!  We had a blast.  

Just some highlights for now:

Raymondskill Falls, Pocono Mtns, PA

Bushkill Falls "The Niagara of Pennsylvania"

Hershey, PA.  This place is seriously like going through Willie Wonka's factory.

Thought it was important to visit Gettysburg at least once in our lives.

American kitsch at it's finest.  I cannot recommend Mister Ed's Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium enough.  Located in Orrtanna, PA, this is well worth a visit.  It's about 30 minutes due west of Gettysburg.  Full disclosure:  It's across the street from an old Mail Pouch Tobacco barn.  When I did google streetview of the barn, prior to our trip, I swung the camera around and saw this directly across the street and made a written note to be sure and stop here as well.  Easily one of the highlights of the entire trip.

Arriving to both boys wearing the 'My Nonna Loves Me' shirts I got them a month or so ago.

Val arrived in OH a few days before we did and she went home earlier too.

I love it when the three of us go out!  Jeff & Russell babysat the boys at the apartment while we were out galavanting around.  When we got back, we all went out to dinner.

Babby Mark turned 5 months old.

Dale's cheeks are flushed cause he was sick.  We babysat both boys that afternoon so Casi & Jeff could finally have some alone time out of the house.

We were gone for 8 days and it was really great to get home even though we miss the kids like crazy!

Jungle Jim's, Part 2

Continuing the tour of Jungle Jim's....

I don't think we saw the entire store cause it's so big with nooks like these.

There was quite a bit of bug snacks and candy.  I only took a pic of these cause that was about all I could stomach.  There were lollipops with worms in them, chocolate covered crickets and scorpions.  

I saw at least 4 of these Coney Island bumper cars.

The pop section was really something to see.  

I wish now I'd bought some because I was so busy shooting that I didn't read what the flavours were.

Ranch soda.  Why god why?

I wish I'd gotten this strawberry orange.

Got a chuckle out of this one.

The place is kind of like Ikea in that you exit in a different part of the store than when you go in.  We filled the cart with all kinds of stuff for everyone and I found the final total to be extremely reasonable.

Next time I'm buying the pop.
