It was time for our fourth annual family trip to King Richard's Faire in Carver!! It starts Labor Day weekend and ends the weekend before Halloween. We went in mid-October. It's a lot of fun and people-watching galore. A lot of cosplay these days that isn't medieval at all. We saw Boba Fett with ram horns on his helment. Plus a samurai looking dude too. The food is pricey, but it's only once a year and we don't want to nickle and dime it. And the shopping.......if I had unlimited funds I could easily drop thousands of dollars there.
This was the ticket lady's hat. Isn't it cool?
The guy on the right is Ses Carny, who does The Torture Show. He is hilarious, although some of his stunts are not for the squeamish. I have to look away when he does the fish hooks in the eyes thing. The nail up the nose thing....I mean, like how do you even find out you can do stuff like that?
I'm noticing an upswing in steampunk looking clothes and wares, which is cool.
First thing through the gate, we load up on all the food tickets before the lines get insanely long. Russell was thinking and talking about getting a turkey leg All. Week. Long.
These glass topped walking sticks are sooooo beautiful. Maybe someday I'll splurge on one.
Here's Ses about to do fire eating.
A wee unicorn in a pink tutu.
My sweet and amazing family. We had so much fun. I love making memories with them!
