Stunning Sunset

Overall I've been pretty lazy about driving down to the beach every time we have a fantastic sunset.

For example, here is one I took from my house in early October.  I wanted to get to the beach but I was in my jammies and figured by the time I got down there, it would have faded.

Well, we had another stunning sunset on the 25th and despite being in my jammies, I decided to jump in the car.  I was gambling that no one would be there since it was a Sunday evening.  And luckily I  was right.  I parked on the boat ramp and hopped out to take a few.  I'm glad I did.

I submitted the picture to the Bourne Police Department Facebook page, since they like to feature people's pics and I was so happy that they chose to share mine!  I took this screen cap of it, but when I went back later on, there was almost 1,100 'likes'.  I know I shouldn't measure my life and self esteem by how many Facebook likes I get, but that is the most that any of my photos has ever gotten. It also got shared a bunch of times too.  Any positive exposure I can get for my pics, the better.

    1. Thanks! I get into my jammies as soon as I get home and know that I don't have to go back out again, no matter what time it is. Why be uncomfortable?

  3. Kudos to you! You have to grab that moment and you did. Congrats on having it selected, you did good JoJo, even in jammies. . .

  4. Great stuff! I've always liked taking sunset pictures though I rarely do it anymore. I don't really get very spectacular sunsets from my backyard and I never leave at that time of day to go watch the sunset.

When I was living in TN I used to go up to a mountain overlook to watch the sunset over the panorama of the city view. That was always so relaxing.

    1. Thank you! What a fantastic view it must've been from that mountain top. It's funny but one of my friends always posts sunrise pics and I post the sunset pics. Just tells you what time she & I get up and go to bed. lol I don't think I've ever seen a sunset pic from her come to think of it.

Be well, JoJo, and I'll post the next Matzo Ball installment next. Thank you for the requests!
