The Day After Veteran's Day

As nice as Veteran's Day was, the next day was really cold and raw with freezing rain.  I went to the grocery store first thing and by the time I came out, it was snowing.  Just a tad too soon for me.  I'm not on board with over 4 months of oppressive heat and humidity, 2 months of fall and now winter.

Big flakes fell for quite awhile.  I went to Sandwich the following day and was surprised to see how much more they got over there.

I'm soooooo not ready for winter.  I want a generator so bad!!!

  1. We've had our first snowfall already in the Midwest, too. And then it was 68 degrees F, and then we had bad storms with rain, thunder, lightening, and tornadoes in southern IL. CRAZY weather!

  2. We got dumped on during the weekend... a few inches fell over thick ice. It would have been fine if I had planned to stay inside all cozy and warm, but nooo... we had plans that took us out. Of course. It's been cold ever since, so I guess it's staying white around here!

    Beautiful photos JoJo!

  4. I'm not a big fan of winter, either, JoJo. But it does make for some interesting photos. This time you captured ice and color as the season gradually morphs into the stark reality of winter: bare trees, ice, and traffic problems. (west coasters don't like that slushy stuff)

  6. Lovely pictures JoJo. Though I like to see photos of snow and may even enjoy watching snow fall, as I bask near the warmth of a gas fireplace, I have tropical blood and would freeze to death if I had to live in an icy climate.

I'm not on board for it either, JoJo. We had some snow flurries too. Nothing major just flakes. It didn't stick. The pictures are so pretty!

  10. Ermagherd... you're complaining about a few flakes of snow???? Come to my house! But bring boots that come up to your knees cause you'll need 'em!

Your photos are so pretty, by the way. Nothing is prettier than a snow-capped icing on the beautiful colours of fall.
