My great grandmother Filomena 'Fannie' Marganella in 1947, at my parents' wedding. I'm going to guess she is approximately 60 in this photo. 60 doesn't look that old nowadays but back then it sure did. She was widowed at 38 with 8 children, the youngest of which was 2. That'd age anyone.
WOW
ReplyDeleteThe more we learn about health and diet, the better the aging process. Having eight kids and raising them alone is an accomplishment, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo... love the dress, gloves, flowers and car!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful photo of a very sweet lady and a very strong lady, raising 8 children alone would be a difficult job. Heck, raising just one kid alone was hard, can't imagine that times 8.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo! And a lovely memory. Yikes on the 8 kids as a single mom...she must be an amazing woman!
