My First Attempt at a Photobucket Slide Show

I took a very quick trip to Seattle in July, 2009, on a mission for Axe. On the way up, I decided to stop in Renton to see the Jimi Hendrix Memorial and grave.

  2. That worked :D

Didn't know he was buried in Seattle. He's one of those Americans the English tend to think of as English and only vaguely remembehe was actually American...

  3. Thanks Madi. My suspension from FB made me really miss my blogging. lol So I guess from that standpoint, it was a good thing I was kicked off. lol

WR - Yes, Jimi's from Seattle originally, and is buried here, but yeah, when I was growing up, I was surprised to find out he was American; I thought he was British as well.

  4. Oh, what an awesome tribute, huh?
I called the Nush to come have a look at it and she had a spaz attack, cause he is one of her biggest heroes on guitar!

Thanks Jojo....you and your adventures always take me out of this boring life of mine.

  5. I just adored Jimi Hendrix. It was such a shock to me when he died. I know he died in London, but I'd never stopped to think where he might be buried.

    Brilliant first slideshow.

  7. Axe - Glad to hear Nush is into Hendrix. The classics never get old. lol

Val - It was a surprise to me too that he's buried up here.

Diane - Oh yes, I most definitely did. I will be uploading those pics here, probably this weekend.

I'd never thought about where Hendrix was buried either, I guess I just assumed it was over here

I hope you said 'Hi' for me. Actually, when I was there I gave them both a bow, as I was taught to do when I was martial arts training. It shows respect for your teacher or oppononent - not that I'd've lasted 2 seconds in a fight with either of 'em, but Bruce was the reason I started training in the first place. I'd wanted to do it for years, and was WAY too old when I finally started, BUT hopefully, I could still give someone a good (and proper!)kicking if threatened ;0)

Yes I did Susan (for 2 years), until doing 'knuckle press-ups' started to deform my hands. I wouldn't want Vincent to take fright if/when I stroke his face ;0)
