Memories

One year ago this week, I went on my wonderful 4-day solo odyssey, where I took this....

...to get here.
Had ideal weather....
to spend a lovely morning here.
Then took this....
...to get here.
Ate a delicious meal here.
Saw this.
Shot that.

Bought this.

So I can't get to Canada this year.
BUT, in less than one month, I'll be heading to my other favourite city, San Francisco to attend Donnie & Mike's wedding! Aren't they a cute couple?

I'm not sure how many of my fave haunts I'll be able to see in such a short period of time, but if I drag myself out of bed early enough, I might get to my old neighborhood, the Richmond District.

  5. Annie - I get there about 7 on Friday night, the wedding is at 1 on Sat., and I fly back to Washington on Sun. at 11 am. So a very quick trip. But if I get up at say, 7 on Sat., I can do drive by's of all my fave rave places b/f heading over to Glen Park for the wedding.

Where in the Richmond is your daguther? We were on 20th Ave x Geary & Anza, the perfect location!

  6. Sounds like you need to practise early rising on non-work days. Oh, I hate that.

  7. jo-my daughter lives @ 28th and geary. walking distance to china beach, and surrounded by fun places to eat and drink. i was thinkking that i may be down that way next month, and it would be fun to have a coffee and say hello. sounds like your time is extra-tight, though. my dad also lives in s.f., and just had knee surgery.

  8. There are so many places in Canada that I would love to visit. Some people call Canada 'America's hat' which I think is funny, but somehow I doubt Canadians would think so :)
    Congrats to the happy couple!

  10. I worked on Fisherman's Wharf in my youth (1981); the store is long gone, but it was across from Alioto's. God, I had me some fun. I couldn't afford to live there, though.

    Kiss the city for me.
