Onset

No trip would be complete without a walk downtown to the water.

That's just way too crowded for me.

I went inside Stash's pizza with the hope of getting a slice but they screwed up the pizza that was in the oven and had to start over.  It was taking waaayyyy too long so I left, but not without shooting this cool view out the window.

The Hippie Shop was finally open so I went in, of course.  Got a few postcards and a fridge magnet.

Next time I go in I'll have to see if this one is for sale.

  2. Lovely continuation of your Onset tour. Yep, that beach is a bit overcrowded for me too. Thanks!

    1. All the beaches look like that, this time of year, both salt and freshwater. That's why I don't bother paying for a sticker cause I won't go in the summer.

    1. It really was! I wish there were more shops though. It's kind of dead in that regard.

  4. That beach was too crowded? You surprise me. What a very odd looking angel - what's it doing, drawing a sword? Lots of nice pix.

    1. Thanks! Yes...too crowded. I don't like to be around a lot of people, noise, kids, etc. Why does that surprise you? I like the beach to myself so I can listen to the waves, the wind and shore birds w/o hearing screeching kids and radios. Yes, under the statue is says 'ecumenical' or something like that. There are plaques around that say different things. Mathematica is another.

  5. Definitely summer on that day. Looks so peaceful and pleasant. The "Hippie Shop" sounds kind of funny. Did they have the smoking paraphernalia, incense, and music like I would have expected to find in the "hippie stores" where I used to shop?

    1. There was incense and they were playing the Grateful Dead but paraphrenalia are in different shops that usually sell vape supplies and body jewelry.

  6. Hey JoJo,

That looks like just the sort of place I'd like to visit. And far out, The Hippie Shop!

    1. To be honest I'm surprised no one has raised a stink about that statue. It's a topless Native American woman.

    1. Thanks Karen! If only my slice of pizza had been given to me...I would've taken more pics out the window!
