Hodge Podge

I've been just too lazy and uninspired to update lately.  Weather's been all over the place.  I'm always tired.  Halloween was a total bust.  Didn't get a single kid which was actually OK cause I was alone that night.  I did roast some pumpkin seeds but I over did them and they went in the garbage.  But I did this to the pumpkin before I removed the seeds.

The turkeys are really playing fast and loose this month!

Get yer foot off my rock from Bolinas!

Still stitching.  This one was a lot of fun.  I found sparkly gold aida cloth and the pattern is called 'Pretty Little San Francisco' by Satsuma Street.

Our 2016 ornament.  I think Russell's just glad I'm not dragging him around the Glass Museum this year!

I was hoping to find a more Salish tribal pattern for this orca but I love this one too.

I went down to the Canal at Mass Maritime the afternoon of the supermoon.  I got there in time for a pretty sunset.  Moon pics will be in the next post.

Tug and barge coming in.

  1. You always get such wonderful pictures JoJo. If you are always tired, have you checked with the doctor? You shouldn't be that tired. Love the stitchery. Happy Thanksgiving.

    1. Thank you Jo! I have my physical tomorrow actually. I don't remember a time when I haven't felt tired 24/7. I wake up exhausted.

  2. Cute pumpkin! I had the same amount of kids come. Sorry about your seeds. I'm liking the shots of the turkeys, especially the face off. Neat pictures of the bridges! Lovely idea for an ornament, wish I could do that tiny stuff!

    1. Thank you! I had some candy but gee what a pity that we had to eat it. hahaha I was so mad about the seeds. They were taking forever at the temp I had them at, so I bumped the temp and they practically burned. I was bummed. That's what I get for being impatient eh? lol

  8. Look at the size of those birds! I can't believe they run about wild! Are you allowed to capture one for thanksgiving? Your needlework is amazing you should be so proud of yourself ,you need lots of patience for that kind of work.

    1. Well it's illegal to keep one, I think. But we are overrun with them. Flocks of up to 20-30 will crowd the road and all you can do is wait for them to move. They are EVERYWHERE! Thank you for your kind words on my needlework!

    1. Those turkeys are fine, no one kills them. I've never even seen any as roadkill, considering the giant flocks that roam the neighbourhoods here.
