The shark motif is very popular around here now that they are trolling our waters looking for seals, and swimmers that look like seals.

Where we ate lunch. It was really good. Russell had a ginormous salad and Italian sub, and I had a grilled chicken sandwich.
Easily my fave store in PTown. While I could've purchased almost everything in there, I only picked up a glass float for a project.

I finally got a chance to get this picture too. One thing I'd love to do before I die is drive Rte 66 west and Rte 6 east.
I've been wanting to visit for such a long time and we just haven't yet made it there (yet). What a great sign!
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely no shortage of things to see here, that's for sure! Each town has something special to offer. Well, except for Mashpee. All they have is a hoity toity shopping plaza called Mashpee Commons. Other than that, there's nothing worth visiting in that town! lol
DeleteOh would I love to visit and get at least one fishing float. I used to have one but no idea what happened to it. They make such attractive ornaments. Great pictures as usual.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! If you want me to get you one sometime, let me know. They are sold all over the place. They are just cheaper in PTown. There's a junk shop near me that is very picturesque with all the stuff outside and buoys all over the side of the building but their floats are outrageously priced. But I am sure I'll head to PTown next spring or summer. They come in all colours and sizes.

DeleteWell I could inquire at the post office anyway. I've sent large and heavy packages to a friend in South Africa and that cost $30. I would imagine a small, light package to Canada would be far less, esp. if I sent it the cheapest/slowest way possible.

DeleteDepending on the size, anywhere from $4 to $20. I got a medium sized float at that Marine Supply store for $6, it's about 8" in diameter, maybe a bit smaller. The guy at the junk shop near me sells the same size for $15, which is why I refuse to buy them from him.

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes Cape Cod is very charming. At least certain parts are. Then there are the overcrowded strip malls and souvenir shops on the south part of the Cape in Hyannis and Yarmouth. Someday I will take a drive down Rte 28 and take pics of the tackiness. lol
