Stunning Fall Evenings

Best time of the year right now.  I love fall.  Not looking forward to winter though.  But trying to get some nice shots of the clouds and sunsets.

I wish the pics of these clouds could do justice to what the light looked like the day I took them.  The sun was on it's way down and while it was a bit cloudy in the west, the east had these gorgeous white clouds with blue sky.  It was reflecting the light into my yard such that it looked like sunrise, not sunset.

Then they turned this colour.

Next night we had a pretty moon.

Two nights later it was stunning!  I should've driven to the beach but I knew this would be fleeting so I stayed in my driveway.

  1. As I said, we have been having similar sunsets here too. Did you manage a shot of the blood moon? Here it was cloudy so didn't see anything. Of course I got up around 1 a.m. and it was clear as a bell with the moon shining strongly.

    1. Did you see the pic I posted on Facebook of the eclipse? It may be one of the best photos I've ever taken. Sorry it was cloudy up there. Seemed like a lot of people had clouds or rain.

  2. I'm a cloud gazer and admirer of sunsets / sunrises. Your pictures are so very lovely! Soak it all in, and remember it when you need to be warmed in the dead of winter :-)

    1. Me too. I've always loved to see patterns in the clouds and daydream while watching them. Thank you so much!

  3. Love the skyshots! I never get tired of Mother's Nature sky painting. Somehow it always cheers me. I like seeing storm clouds too, but not experiencing the results. . .thanks for capturing these for us.

    1. I did! That will be in an upcoming post. I posted one of my eclipse pics on FB and it's gotten like 165 likes on my personal page and over 170 on a different page. It may be the best photo I've ever taken.
