Main Street

After we left the town pier, we went over to Main Street where there were some more cute shops and stuff.  We parked behind the town hall and checked out Hatch's Produce.  Loved this license plate.

I got this adorable mint tin at the produce stand.  The claw bands are a nice touch.

Never seen hydrangeas in hot pink before!

Town Hall

If Hagrid was a farmer he'd look like this.

The house seems abandoned

But someone is keeping the wheelbarrow planted and weeded.

The star shows where on the Cape Wellfleet is located.  The key for the black dot in the Bay says 'here be dragons', and the X at the Canal is for the 'tunnel'.

  1. Pity about that house JoJo, looks like it could be a nice place. Great photos again as usual. I just commented to Matt that you take pix I would never think of and yet they are interesting to see.

    1. Thanks Jo. Sometimes I feel really bad about dragging my friends along on photo junkets b/c I'm always stopping every few feet.

    1. Thanks Phyllis! I think there was a truck parked in the driveway so many someone was working inside but at first glance it did look abandoned.

  3. What a wonderful gift you have, your ability to find the interesting jewels in the every day existence. We could all benefit from looking at life through a photographer's eye.

  4. Re. the hydrangeas, JoJo, do you only get them in blue, or is it the intensity of the pink that was new to you. I think it depends on the soil they grow in. You can change the colour by adding things like rusty nails around the roots. Or so they say...

    1. It was the intensity of the pink and that we only get them in blue/purple. I love them! I've heard that, about the soil. Sand makes it turn one colour, soil another, etc.

    1. Thanks Robyn. Yes, 'charming' is definitely an accurate way to describe the Cape!

  8. Weird how they can't keep up the house but have a beautiful wheelbarrow full of flowers. Someone needs to iron out their priorities!
