As I was leaving Long Beach, I spotted a swan floating out in the Bay. It was a surprise.
Across the street from the parking lot are 3 old, boarded up shacks. Very picturesque.
One last pic before I headed back home.
The haul was pretty good....mostly teensy chips, but I will take them!
Your eyes must be good to see some of those chips JoJo. Those shacks look like they were in a good spot to enjoy the beach views.
ReplyDeleteRussell said it's because I'm so close to the ground. lol I called it 'putting on my beach glass eyes'. Once I start scanning I get into a zone where I can spot the tiniest of chips. Of course cobalt blue and light green really stand out. I don't know what those shacks were originally....probably for fishermen.
DeleteSee, I would live in one of those shacks, fix it up first, but I love them. As usual, outstanding photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Teresa! The shacks are just a tad too small for me! Maybe 10x that size! lol
DeleteOh, I love those shacks! Would love to buy the gray one and fix it up for a little getaway!
ReplyDeleteI think the key word there being 'little'. lol I'm not sure there's plumbing.
DeleteI don't know how you find such treasures. Those bright/almost florescent green shards make for a great find.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Long Beach in CA, but this one's prettier.
There was a Long Beach in WA that is so incredibly funky. Home of the World's Largest Frying Pan, an annual kite festival, Marsh's Free Museum, Jake the Alligator Man and the end of the Lewis & Clark trail.
DeleteRobyn, you are shorter than me, and that comes in major handy when looking for glass. Being this close to the ground, it's easy to spot.
I never see things like that on the beach. Love those shacks.
ReplyDeleteI would love to beachcomb all over the world. So much glass to be found!
