Road Trippin' to PTown, Part 1

Last week my stepdaughter & I took our second annual PTown trip on a gloriously warm, dry day.  When we got there I actually entertained the thought of going up to the top of Pilgrim Monument but then chickened out as we got closer.  I figured the hike up the hill to the base would do me in, nevermind all those stone steps to the top.  It was grueling in the 80s when I was 20 years old and in shape.

We were so bummed that Spiritus wasn't open yet.  I really thought they would be by 11 but sadly they were not.  Their pizza was always the best.

Wanted every last thing in the glass store.

Tourist trolley.

Thought this was a cute idea!

Went into this store this year.....it was cute but 'best store ever'?  Um......no.

This was in the officially licensed 'Life is Good' store.

Wanted.  Didn't get.

FOR MATURE AUDIENCES DISCLAIMER FOR NEXT PHOTO!!  Provincetown is the Cape's premier LGBT community.  Therefore, the art and theatre scene often reflects that.

  1. Love the pix. What does PTown stand for? Looks like you had a good day. I tried climbing a lighthouse a few years ago, did two flights I think.

  2. Provincetown. Sorry I forget people who haven't been to this region don't know the full name. Everyone calls it PTown. Yes it was a gorgeous day. Couldn't have asked for a better summer day. I did a lighthouse last year and almost didn't make it!

    1. Actually I have been in the area, quite a long time ago though. I don't even remember Provincetown let alone the abbreviation.

  3. Love your photos as always, and you included a bit of everything. I knew it was Provincetown, but I probably learned that here at your blog.

    1. Thank you! I do love it up there. It's about an hour or so from where I live, clear at the other end of the Cape!

  4. I wonder if that nice looking young man in the front of the "best store ever" has anything to do with the sign, "best store ever." It does look cute, though.

I love the peacock coin purse too.

It's nice to see that even in a seemingly puritanical area, Snow White gets down and dirty.

Be well and keep a smile, JoJo.

    1. Oh there's nothing puritanical about PTown! lol The people watching is top notch and I do enjoy listening to the banter of the gay guys. They are so funny. Have such a way with words. There are drag shows at night and the daily Tea Dance at 4:30 pm which I've never stayed for. I'm not one for crowds.
