Sunny & Cold

The temps continued to plummet after the blizzard.  We woke up to -5*, which is the coldest temp I have ever felt in my life. However, it was a 'dry cold', and as long as the wind wasn't blowing, it didn't feel that bad.  The snow was still too deep to traipse around in but I did get a few pics.  I'm glad I got them because we had a rapid warm-up with rain before the temps plummeted into the teens again.  Most of the snow is gone now.

Hanging off the the temps slowly warmed, this slid further out.  Afraid of having it dumped on us or the dogs as we exited or entered the house, Russell knocked the edges off with a shovel.

I love how the shadows look on the snow.

Up the street from me.

Looking down my street from the corner.

Marsh grass is so pretty.

My mailbox flag looked like a dragon.

Brrrrrr on my car

  1. Love that crescent moon, and the mailbox 'dragon'! The marsh glass looks like shaped crystal bunches. I'm not a big fan of snow. (that's why I picked the warmest part of Canada. . .)

  2. Amazing collection of photos JoJo! I love the shadows on the snow as well, and the shot you took of the marsh grass is very cool.

  3. Cool photos, quite literally. Very good, indeed. Talk about freeze frame. I can send Penny over if you need a spare snow plough or "plow" in American.

Stay warm and enjoy your weekend.

More great photos. My faves are the stone wall and the grass. Love them all though. The mailbox dragon made me laugh. In one of the pics it looks like you have glitter snow? I always loved glitter snow in the moonlight.

Pictures are beautiful, as always. You're freezing, we're drowning. Personally speaking, I'd rather have 'winter' - snow & sunny - than the heavy rain and monstrous winds we've been having.

  6. Thanks everyone! I am really sick of the cold and snow and I know we still have over 2 months of it. All that's left of this storm are the dirty heaps in parking lots.

  7. You got some amazing shots!! Amazing ♥
