Still Learning

I think, for the time being, I am going to be letting the camera shoot in auto-mode, correcting for everything under the sun, until I can figure out how to take great shots by using all the settings.

So here's a pic of a jar full of the glass bits I took home from McDermott Glass.

I found the glass pumpkin jar at the junk/antique shop, Rust Ed, and it fit all but the largest pieces.

Pokeberries.

Hints of fall starting to show up!

The colour in the chimes I got in the spring really faded in the summer sun.

It should be noted that I got in quite a few day trips plus our annual trip to King Richard's Faire - and this time we took the kids - so posts will be somewhat rapid fire.  I'm waiting for the inevitable message from Blogger that I've reached my Picasa album limit unless I buy more space.  Last year it happened in late November.  lol  The weather has been absolutely amazing so I'm back to beachcombing and exploring.

McDermott Glass Studio, Part 3

And now for a tour of their amazing gallery.  I know I'll be stopping by to buy more items because I basically want everything in the shop.  Their work is breathtaking.  The colours are so gorgeous.

I almost bought one because I like using a glass with a handle.  I was afraid that it would get swept off the table by an enthusiastic tail so I decided not to.  For now.  I still might go get one anyway!

Right?!?!

Just...wow.  The owl looks like he's inside of a giant agate.

Can they just box it all up and send it to my house?

The one on the left, the cobalt, now resides in our livingroom.

I loooove the shell and this colour combo!

 Crackle glass in beautiful shades.

Want these too.

I want those so bad.  SO BAD.

Happy crab is happy!

Another pic of the shell I want and should've gotten while I was there because it's probably gone now.

Little owly on the left now lives at my house too.  A little boy bought the turtle.

I love that whale tail too.

A huge thank you to Yukimi Matsumoto for allowing me to shoot inside.  If you find yourself in Sandwich, this place is a must-see.

McDermott Glass Studio, Part 2

Continuing on with the tour of McDermott's, these items are in their yard and I absolutely loved it.  So creative!

This was kinda creepy though!

Glass. Seashells.  OMG!  LOVE!

Glass snake!

This is fabulous!

So cute!

It's a wave!!!

Next, the Gallery.
