Polar Bear Plates

Of all the license plates in my collection, the Canadian polar bears are my favourite!!!  I bought both of these online.  The NWT one was formerly used in the 1990s and it cost me about $30.  Not too bad!

This Nunavut plate was also purchased online also for about $30 but, I believe, not meant for use on a vehicle and only sold as a novelty item.  I have seen a lot of them for sale with the Triple-0 number.

  1. Yep, I love those too! We see quite a few up here... I think there should be more die cut plates - rectangles are so boring....

Of course, I love anything polar bear-related. We will have an amazing new Polar Bear exhibit at our Zoo next year. I can't wait for it to open!

  4. Oh wow, eh. I so remember seeing those type of plates when I lived in British Columbia. Didn't seem many of them, but sure would notice them.

I think you got yourself a bargain.

    All the best,

    Gary :)

  6. These are the only shaped plates I've ever seen. That's what makes them so unique!

  9. very cool! Made me start thinking of what the 50 states would come up with if they could issue shaped plates. Would California have an artichoke shaped plate?
