I keep passing the Indian Mound Beach sign along Rte. 28 in Wareham, and finally decided to venture down there to see what it was like. Beachcombing not so good, glass-wise. These small, salt water inlets have plenty of glass on the beaches, but none of it is worn because they just don't get the tides and wave action that the bay/ocean/sound beaches have. Still, the pups enjoyed their walk and I did get some great flat stones for painting.
I can't get enough of the buoy-lobster trap look.
Yes, it was as chilly out as it looks.
Pepper splooshed into the water to say Hi to the swans but I called her back before she started swimming. They aren't the nicest of birds and I didn't want to have to rescue her from the freezing cold water.
The sky just seemed to go on forever in those photos. It looks like it would be a nice place to visit on a warmer day.
ReplyDeleteAt least it wasn't raining, which is what it did here all day yesterday...probably because someone said the word 'drought' ;0)
ReplyDeleteHey there, Nice pics and it sounds like you had a nice day, even though it was a bit cold.

I love swans. They have every right to be grumpy - one aggressive chap got moved from a canal over here because he attacked a rower or two. But hey, it's his element, not theirs! Move them.

Happy A-Zing!
Fantastic pictures of the shoreline on a moody grey day! I like the abandoned boat on shore.
