Moon Shots

We had some incredible full moon nights in early/mid January!!  A lot of my friends on Facebook and Project 365 posted some amazing photos of it.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of it till one early morning when I let Pepper out at about 6:30, and saw it peeking through the trees.  I grabbed my camera off the table and shot this picture, without my glasses on, then went back to bed for a couple hours.

That night, I was watching TV and I looked up at the door because something kept catching my eye.  I couldn't imagine what the bright white light was.  We do have a streetlight across the street but it's not that tall!  It was the moon!

So I went outside to shoot again.

Bad weather was coming in and the clouds were blowing past the moon.

  1. Beautifully mysterious.

I once took some photos with an SLR camera with all the f-stops and stuff (and film!!!) of the moon shining on the wet rooftops at the back of me. One or two were lovely. Wish I knew where they were...

I often think about taking pictures of the moon, but I'm never sure they'll turn out. I once took a load of shots while I was on a night boat trip in Hawaii. Not a one of 'em turned out ;0)

  4. The moon is notoriously hard to shoot, there's no doubt.
