King Richard's Faire, Part 2

He tried his hand at the knife throw.

In his happy place with a giant turkey leg and a Pepsi

The painted designs on these velvet cloaks are amazing.

Love the photos. Makes me want to find a Ren Fair so I can find some turkey legs of my own!

  6. I'd've gotten a turkey leg too but I don't eat dark meat. Or skin.

Val, I was reading about the history of the Ren Faire and was amused to find out that it's definitely an American invention. It's our romanticized view of medieval England I guess!!

Music Wench, I can't remember what state you are in but try this site for a list of faires by state:

  7. Thanks for the list JoJo! I discovered I'm a lousy newsperson. There are two in my general vicinity and while I have heard of one, the other I was totally clueless about! lol Oh and I'm in Michigan.

  8. Oh man, the skin on turkey or chicken is the best part! Never been to a renaissance fair even though we have them in Pittsburgh. I love all the different signs and how funny some of the sayings are.
