Home Sweet Home

Just thought I'd give you a quick look at where I'm living now.  I am digging the one-story house as I was sick of stairs at the other place.  lol

I'm not entirely sure what those solar panels are powering and hopefully I will remember to ask our landlords.

Here's the inside of the POD after it arrived, showing only minor shifting.

  1. Love that deck! I used to have one at my lake house. And I relate to the one story thing. We had a tri-level loft. I'm perfectly happy with no stairs.

Looks like you're ready to settle in. :-)

  2. It's very cozy...very small too. lol I don't have room for half my stuff, so most of it's staying boxed for now. And the deck is currently covered with empty boxes. My squeeze is desperate to get a grill.

  3. Those solar panels are a good sign - maybe you'll only have small power bills (though I imagine the income from any excess will go to the landlords).

  4. You too. I HATE STAIRS. I only walk up them to keep myself in shape. Otherwise, give me ranchstyle please. Glad to have you on my side. Cheers!!

Great deck! Stairs seemed OK years back, LOL. But, glad to have a basement for evil weather. Could you maybe store some things in the cottage on your Mom's property? Hope everyone is keeping cool in this heat...it's unbelievable.

  8. Stay cool in what heat, Nantz? It's not even reaching 70 over here! As for the rain...

  9. The Pacific NW is enjoying a very cold, rainy summer too. I'm so jealous. I wanted to wait till fall to move back here, but the long distance relationship thing was too difficult.

Lovely, my uncle had a similar house in Connecticut for many years.

  11. It's a good thing I chose not to unpack my books and albums b/c there just isn't room for them or more bookcases.
