VICTORY IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!

I vowed to get the back yard completely and totally cut, this weekend, even if it killed me.

It took nearly 2 hours, one gas fill up and about 20 bag empties, but it's done. At last. Had to keep going over and over it till it was finally gone. Brian came out applauding and saying, "We're not worthy!"
It only took almost 3 months.
Just in time for the rain tomorrow.
Epic Win.

  1. Looks like a lot of work!

really though, wanted to comment on the weather. It was 100 degrees today in Houston. I haven't seen a low in the 60s in months.

Not complaining, gonna jump in the pool tonight, just saying...

  3. Did it kill you?

Er...is there a reason this is your job, not Brian's, or shared?

  4. Still waiting for the rain *tapping fingers impatiently*

Val - I loathe all yardwork except cutting the lawn. It's always been a very zen chore for me. He has been weed whacking it down to the point where it could be cut. I really don't mind it; I let my mind wander and just plod along, with the white noise of the mower. I just wish we didn't have a bag mower, b/c it sucks to have to keep stopping to empty it. When I was a kid, I used to cut my parents' entire lawn, with a push mower, even though my dad had a riding mower (it was a huge piece of property). I just liked doing it by hand, and far be it from my dad to argue, as long as it was getting done. lol

  5. PS When I was in college in Boston in the fall, he'd hint like crazy about the lawn needing to be done and offer to pay my bus fare to come down for the weekend...lol
