Winter

We are having some really cold, clear days! The sun comes up late (close to 8), hangs low in the sky all day and sets by about 4:20; earlier depending on where you live.

The full moon yesterday and today were just amazing as they both rose and set. I've been bringing my camera to work every day "just in case" so I was able to get this shot this morning at about 7:30 am of the full moon setting.
This was the view from our front office window.
My boss, being a photo-buff himself, granted my request to leave work at 3:30 today so that I could sit on the hill in Bonney Lake and shoot the sunset on Mt. Rainier. I arrived at about 3:55 pm and waited. I was not disappointed.

Very Maxfield Parrish, eh?
Cascade Mountains on the right/south of Mt. Rainier.

This was the last picture I got at 4:15 pm, when the pink and orange began to fade.

    Dear JoJo,
I looked at your full moon from my appartment window and just stood still for minutes because it was so beautifull. Thanks for the pictures.

  3. That is just stunning, JoJo.
As I drove home tonight, I caught sight of the moon low down and peeping out from the clouds. It looked vast and really bright. But I kept losing it behind the buildings :(

Definitely worth the effort Jojo and breathtakingly lovely - all that's missing is me'n'Vincent with his arm around me in the foreground. It's important to share body-warmth at this time of year y'know ;0)
