Three Forty Three

I couldn't believe my eyes. Never thought I'd see the day.

Anyone care to venture a guess?

  3. I went home when gas prices were about $3.30 and was fearful to drive around too much because I didn't want to put more than $10 in on any given day.

  4. Yupper, $3.43 for gas in Bonney Lake.

It's put a SERIOUS crimp in my travel plans for the year. Or I should say, "now non-existant travel plans".

It's 3.15 here in Pa., at least where I live, but it keeps going up and then back down again. I would like to see not only the oil company heads in that pit, also G.W.Bush leading the way.

As petrol in the UK heads for $10 a gallon, I'd be happy to pay $3.43. And sorry Val, but you'll never convince me the price isn't more to do with tax revenue for the Government than anything to do with saving the planet, not that I think we can, if the planet decides to bite back. As someone once said, Mother Nature stirs, we all fall down!

  10. Yes and Exxon posted another quarter of record profits. I'm all for capitalism, just not for bending over and taking it in the ass.

  11. That is the only upside to not owning a car. Its just gonna keep escalating and eventually there'll be nothing left anyway.

Lucky for me, the LDV I use belongs to my work and the company pertol card is in the ashtray...all I have to do when it gets empty, is take it to the pumps ;-)

  12. I know it's heavily tax, Diane, but the price probably makes people think twice before doing car journeys they don't need to, that's all I meant.

  13. I just doled out over $500.00 to get my car fixed (new water pump and belt) It runs perfectly...Sadly I can't afford to put gas in it!

  14. People are having to choose b/t food and gasoline or oil for heat. It's just not right.

I'd like to shake hands with the person who's invented the replacement for oil. I can't believe there isn't someone, and I bet the oil companies pay them a damn fortune to keep quiet. Conspiracy theorist? Moi ;0)

Val, I hear what you say, but if the Government was so concerned about cars, they could ban them. Naturally, the economy would collapse, we'd be the laughing stock of the universe, but... Like someone said on the radio, we shouldn't be trying to UNinvent things, we just need to make them better.
