What Tarot Card are you?

A big Thank You to Mark for posting this on his blog!

http://www.flarn.com/~warlock/tarot/ Take the test!

My card came up as "The Empress", surprisingly, because I answered the questions honestly and I really didn't think this is what I'd get, but it says:

"Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury and delight. You may be good at home decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, or art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where is gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her."

All this talk about wombs and creation of life is just so not me. Brian must be The Magician because we always say he's the idea guy, and I'm the one who tries to implement them. I like the "good at home decorating" part though, that cracked me up. I've posted pictures of various rooms in my house, so you guys know how my home is decorated.

And another thing, why can't I ever be Saturn???????

What tarot card are you?

  1. Apparently I am The Tower - I had an idea I would be (premonition?) but it's so inapt. War, destruction? I'd only destroy She Who Must Not Be Named.

I used to do Tarot readings, can't remember a thing about it. I have 4 or 5 sets of cards that I never use any more.

  2. I have 2 sets but haven't read the guide book on how to read them. I had no idea that they were so like your standard playing cards w/ a few extras.

  3. I was the Tower as well.I have two tarot decks.I am fairly good with reading them though I prefer to use a guide book and NOT my instinct. One set will be leaving me soon, because it never melded with me.

The other, oddly enough,is the Alister Crowley Thoth deck. Now,he is a nut BUT the deck is beautiful and was created by a female painter.here is a link to some of the cards:

I still use them, though I am primarily (and will always be) an astrologer.

And yes, they ARE like regular cards,in fact you can use regular cards in a pinch!

  9. I'm Temperance....Another card of aspiration, but also of much change. It often represents complex situations.

    I wish I was something else :(

    But that was fun Jojo..Thanks!

  10. Bryde, thanks for reminding me of Alistair Crowley. I have quite a good selection of books about the occult, including him, many of them acquired when I was at University and the dear lecturers indulged themselves in their whims and gave us a course on the history of French magic and witchcraft. Happy days.

  11. Wish I had access to classes like that.In this narrow-minded place I am in,the only history is given by US to other people,to clear up their ideas that we are "devil worshipers"...if I was,I would sure be having more fun and LESS guilt;)!

They STILL don't get it,even when the first thing we say is...we don';t worship something we don't believe in (hell/satan).....

But a class like you had would be...AMAZING!
