It sure is nice to have our beaches back again. Now I can resume my beach combing endeavors! Headed out to Scusset one day. Didn't check the tide table and arrived for high tide that was starting to go out. It was super choppy on the Bay with lots of nice rollers.
I had to crop this pic to show the seagull up close with his head turned to the side. I had no idea he did that when I took the pic.
I've never walked the Scusset jetty out to the end...well I did once when I was a kid but not as an adult. I did get up on it today but I'm just too afraid I'm gonna trip and kill myself jumping from rock to rock.
Looking over at the Sandwich jetty. This was during the full moon so the tide was higher than usual.
I just love shooting waves.

Not quite as impressive as the beach logs of the Pacific NW.
It's so peaceful listening to the pounding surf. I walked a long way, first to the Canal jetty then pretty far down Sagamore Beach. Not a lot of glass but a few good pieces. I'll have to return in a month or so, or after our first storm.
After I left Scusset, I went in search of the stone church that Russell told me was near the Canal. It was pretty easy to find.
The corner stone said 1910.
Out back near the playground I found these adorable mosaic stones made by children.

This was the view from the path where I parked to shoot the church. Still undergoing painting. I swear they built the Golden Gate Bridge in less time than it's taking to repaint the Sagamore Bridge!
The beachcombing finds for the day. That round, white piece of glass to the top right of the largest brown one is one of those flat glass blobs, like the kind I use a lot on jars and bottles. This was the first time I've ever found one of those and it ranks up there with marbles. I was pretty excited to get that one!
