Plymouth Grist Mill & Jenney Pond

These next pics were taken when I got back to the Grist Mill, where I'd parked.  The sumac was looking beautifully red.

We have a lot of burning bushes too, everywhere.  They are fabulous.

  1. Enjoyed your lovely photos! I liked the one of the ducks, especially (good angle). Thanks for sharing the colours of autumn on the east coast with us. On the west coast all our trees are turning colours too. I like the red flaming trees best that we see here.

    1. Thank you! I miss the west coast foliage. It starts later and lasts so much longer. Here it's done in a couple of weeks!

  3. Lovely pictures. Interesting the spelling of Plimouth. I wonder if it was spelled that way in the UK once upon a time. You do live in a delightful part of the world. I hope you have a really good system for saving these pictures now. I would hate you to lose a lot of this stuff again.

    1. Thanks Jo! The early settlers named a lot of places after towns in England, but changed the spelling. They have Barnstaple and we have Barnstable. I have them on an external hard drive which is still risky. If I had the money I'd take the hard drive somewhere and have almost every single picture processed.

    2. I'm pretty sure its Barnstable in England too JoJo. Re your pictures. I use an offsite back up which I have used for years. I have had occasion to bless them too having lost stuff on my PC at various times. It costs me about $60 a year but it is so worth it. Maybe you should think about doing that too.

    3. I looked it up....they do use the 'p' instead of the 'b'. What is the site you use?
