Spohr Gardens, Falmouth

After two days of crushing heat and humidity, the air cleared and cooled and I took the opportunity to jet down to Falmouth to check out Spohr Gardens.  It was well worth the trip.  I was there super early, around 9, so I was the only person there and had the place to myself. It was very peaceful.

And anchors

The property is on Oyster Pond.

The lower paths hug the shore of the pond.

The upper paths go through a very shady and quiet wood with beautiful views.

Spohr Gardens is located at 45 Fells Road in Falmouth.  It's free but donations are accepted (and the place is worth donating a couple of bucks!).

  1. What a delightful spot. I could have sat on that bench for hours and enjoyed the view.

    1. It's really a hidden gem. I didn't even know about it till one of my friends posted 6 or so pics from a winter walk there. There's so much to do and see on Cape Cod!

    1. Thanks Phyllis! I wonder if the orbs were Mr. & Mrs. Spohr coming to say hello. :)

    1. It really was and thank you! When I was walking out, a family was going in with their dog, despite the giant NO DOGS sign. People piss me off. Didn't look like they had poop bags either.
