Games & Shows (King Richard's, Part 2)

Father & son try their hand at the knife throw.

And the thing where you try to ring the bell.

It's pics like this that warm my heart and make me so happy.

Axe throw.  I think Nick really found his ren faire game niche with this one.

Samantha joined the boys for the Chinese star throwing game.

This was at the forge where they make swords, knives and daggers.

Hmmmm......

I love this area....you can make a wish and tie a piece of fibre so that it comes true.  I don't know if they leave this up year round or what.

Then we went to watch the Torture Show starring Ses Carny.  He is pretty funny.

You have to wonder how one finds out they are good at hammering nails up their nose and sticking fish hooks in their eye sockets....and pulling.....

I thought the Mud Show was going to entail mud but apparently it's just comedy.  It was OK....hard to hear them over the bagpipers nearby.

Love this sign!

Due to the cloudy, cool and showery weather, the place was really empty and waiting in line for food took no time.

    1. They each got 3 swings for the game price and Russell rang the bell once and came really close the other 2 times. Nick got the ringer up about 3/4 of the way on his swings.

    1. There is a pic of me at the end of the next post in a couple of days. I am the photographer, always, and I HATE having my pic taken. I didn't do any of the games, I just like to watch. I'm not, and have never been, a joiner.

This looks like a ton 'o fun. We are a D&D family so we all have geeky stuff. I have a battle axe, looks almost like the one the girl is holding. I wish they had a fair close to where I lived. But, it's okay, comicon is coming up soon!

    1. I always wanted to learn D&D when I was a kid, but I didn't know any girls that played and the guys that played were not interested in letting girls play or teaching them.

Cleavage inspections, the story of my life.. And that torture show? NO thanks! That would've grossed me out totally.. I love that fibre idea tho, I think that's cool, and yay for no lines! I'm tried n' true, rain, sleet, snow, sun, I'm there.

    1. The Torture Show's comedy is really the high light, although I do like the fire breathing. But yeah, I had to hide my eyes when he did the nail up his nose and I was cringing taking the hook-in-eye pics!
