Scenes from the Neighborhood

Buttermilk Bay

Cooling off her hot paws.  Pepper's first dip in east coast waters.  She wasn't interested in going for a swim.

Am currently accepting donations so I can purchase this house.  ;P

Clever  use of an old wheelbarrow.

Of the 3 bridges, I love the Railroad Bridge the best.  I have to get down there to shoot photos when it's being lowered for trains to cross the Canal.

This goofy old stove was on a dock behind Buzzards Bait.

I always have the uncontrollable urge to sing "Ride of the Valkyries" every time a helicopter flies overhead.

Was glad the owners of this house weren't at home when I trespassed across their front lawn to get this shot.

  1. Oooh, Sleepy Hollow!

If only I'd won that Euromillions, you could have your nice house. Always supposing the current owners are wanting to sell...

When you buy that house, I'll have one built next door (in an alternate universe/other life) ;0)

  3. Val, there's also a Rip Van Winkle around the corner from Sleepy Hollow. We also have Washington and Lafayette.

Diane, I say we buy out all the houses on the water and move there. Imagine the fun we'd have?

I had a job years back at a grocery store that was on Sleepy Hollow...I wonder how many roads in the U.S. are named that?
